Originally from Seaford, Long Island ...

I'm originally from Seaford, Long Island in NY and currently reside in Huntington, NY. I began programming in 1993 and have gained many years of experience since then allowing me to develop technically complex projects. I developed my first web site in 1996 and since then have acquired an understanding of what makes an effective site.

University at Buffalo

I attended the University at Buffalo and studied computer science. While earning my BS in Computer Science, I assisted students in developing web site projects that went on to receive high marks.

Computer Associates in 2001

I joined Computer Associates in 2001 as a software engineer. At Computer Associates, I developed enterprise level backup software that helped clients save money and protect their data investments. Working on this highly technical project developed my strong technical background and gave me experience with the teamwork and communication necessary to make successful technology projects.

Business Application Development

As my career progressed, I moved on to business application development where I gained valuable experience with the entire product life cycle of web applications, including business needs analysis, project planning, technical design, implementation, rollout, maintenance, all the while interfacing with clients. This experience has gained me the ability to effectively bring an idea from conception to a successful reality. These applications now help Computer Associates maintain business processes supporting 15,000+ employees and operations in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Today

Today, I take pleasure in focusing my time on my business / web design career, while spending my free time with close friends or playing basketball. I also enjoy sharing ideas on personal productivity (www.davidco.com), and developing my public speaking and communication skills (www.toastmasters.org).
